Jim Cullen was born in Victoria in 1964 and would be the first to admit that his conservative appearance gives no clue to the imagination and creativity he manages to incorporate into his photographic work.

He started business in Mackay in 1992 shooting commercial jobs (ie. annual reports, press releases, advertising and brochures, etc), as well as family groups and portraiture. He soon became aware that there was a lack of alternative, creative wedding photography on offer and chose to meet the needs of couples who were looking for "something different" for their wedding album.

Jim's aim is to continue to deliver a high standard of photography to all of his clients; while staying tuned in to developments in his profession and changing with them.

The following is a summary of photographic services provided:

Weddings
Wedding photography is comprehensive, romantic, stylish and most of all, modern. Jim's work is fluid to suit the day, candid to capture things as they happen, graphic to display the couple in ways they haven't been before and of course, romantic to show their love for each other. Equally as important are things like giving the couple the best possible service and understanding, taking a professional approach, and using the best products and materials available. Jim spends an average of 40 hours on a typical wedding: this includes up to 9 hours of special treatment on the day with the rest taken up with consultations, location checks, album planning, and album assembly. He uses many different materials and photographic techniques to make each album a contemporary "one of a kind".

Commercial
Jim shoots all types of commercial photography, including brochures, annual reports, press releases, industrial, aerial, fashion, etc.

Portraiture
Family portraiture is usually shot in scenic locations or in the client's home. This type of photography is very popular and makes the photographs (especially of children) appear natural and relaxed.
